317 RLOK polyfuse????

I have a 2017 Jayco 317 RLOK 5th wheel. I noticed a panel on the wall in the dinette, behind which are wires connected with plastic type wire clips. But one set of wires is connected with a black rubber like material, printed with “Polyfuse 1.85A Hold/ 3.70 A Trip”. Do you know what this is for? Our stereo, dinette lights, USB port and exterior kitchen lights are not working.

This polyfuse is for the LED lights on the slide awning. The fuse blew and melted on mine. I wired in a 3 amp inline fuse and it blew immediately so I think my light is actually dead so I am going to replace the strip and wiring. I will just wire in a 3 amp inline fuse when I repair.

I learned about this when our main awning light started dimming after about 5 min. Poly fuse would get quite warm then would cut voltage. Current draw stayed at about 1.5 amp so knew fuse was bad. Also replaced with inline fuse. Ours was behind a panel in front closet
