321 Adding 2nd AC

I am thinking hard about adding a 2nd AC to our 2016 321. Has anyone done that yet and if so did you go with the low profile unit or just the std ones? I did take the vent cover off and noticed they were knock outs for the duct if I don't want to add just a stand alone unit. Any thoughts or ideas from you this awesome bunch would be appreciated greatly. I can get the std unit for around $550 and the low profile is a little over $1000.

Are you prewired for it with 50a service? if so the 15k unit is a nice addition. We have it on ours and it is welcome in this summer weather.

I'm interested in what others have to say about this as well. I have "2nd AC Prep" in my unit, so the wiring is all there, and I have 50A service. Just curious what pitfalls I might avoid learning from someone else who has done this.

Yep it has the 50a service. I am debating on the STD unit verses Low Profile. Seems like our units keep getting higher and higher (not complaining though). I think the STD unit will still be ok, they are 3" difference in the hight between the two.

And IMO it is not worth $450 for the 3" less height.

But the MACH 8 is more efficient and cools better on low since it is a 2 fan
( separate motors) system if that is what he is considering.

I went with the mach 8 13.5K ,8" high in main bedroom. Have a 15K in main living area also. I went with the 13.5K thinking if I'm doing dry with generator I can just run that if I have too. Also figured if that doesn't do what I want while on shore power, I can add another to the rear bunk area. Can't tell you how it working yet as mine will be in the shop for repairs for awhile.

The Dometic Penguin is the one the dealer priced, how do those compare to the Coleman Cub?
