We bought a 2018 321 RSTS Eagle
Attachment 48335Attachment 48336Attachment 48337 and we had a 14 foot tall x 44 feet long and maybe 24 wide.
Disappointed the camper would not fit in the RV carport due to its height. I had to spend another 2800.00 to have it raised by 18 inches in height.
Now the horror story. We are in Charleston SC at the James Island County campground. A mile or so before the campground entrance while on a S.C. DOT highway Riverland Driive we hit a oak tree that was hung out over the road, nearly took off the front AC. Cracked the interior ceiling, shifted the AC unit almost 2 inches on the roof and distorted the housing and evaporator coils and more.
So now what? I have a tarp over it so rain want do further damage. My point is I had heard the Jayco had gone to a low profile AC unit to stay in height concerns. I would love to figure a way to get a call from Jayco, so we can figure out what to do now.
The carport was one thing but this tree on the S.C. highway is another. I have photos of all damage, tree and how camper rides on the 2016 Chevy Silverado 2500 truck . Looks good and not front high.
Leaving in 2 weeks for Baton Rouge and if it leaks I am in Trouble. Ideas on what to do? Can it come off and patch the hole temporarily? It may not leak but can’t see why not.
Only home from nnext Monday to the following Sunday and headed back out. Need a fast fix. Won’t need the ur yet but need a non leak
Ideas?
