339FLQS with my Ram 2500 gas
We currently have a 26BH, thinking of getting the 339FLQS. The weight of that trailer is around 10,000. My Ram 2500 4x4 6.4 liter can pull 12,200. Do you think I'll have any big issues pulling it if we upgrade to the 339FLQS?
Thanks

I'm guessing that the pin weight is going to be over 2000# when loaded. You will not have any issues pulling it, but I am thinking that you are going to be close on your payload capacity.

While the dry weight is 10,000 Lbs. (Jayco lists the 2018 models at 10,745 Lbs. ) once you add your personal items, clothes, food, etc you will be at the max for your Tow Vehicle. Short trips, flat terrain should not present a problem, but you might have issues going up steep grades, or have the potential of brake problems coming back down those same grades.
Just my Humble Opinion.

I've got a 2500 gasser and am happy with it's performance with my TT, but I wouldn't wanna go there even though my Cargo Cap is about 3k and towing cap is about 15k. I don't think it would be a fun towing experience...

I absolutely love, love our 339FLQS. I tow with an F-250 gas. No problems since it is rated for 18,000. Good luck with the new Eagle, however you decide.

I have a similar truck and a 26.5BHS Eagle HT, I think you will be at the high end for numbers on your truck but I wouldn't think you would have any big issues.
I upgraded from a travel trailer this summer and it is amazing how much better the fifth wheel tows. Good luck on whatever you decide.

I see you have a mega cab, so you will most likely need a slider hitch. That being said, you would have about 5-600# of capacity left for you, fuel, gear and hitch.
As for the weight of trailer, Jayco has that listed at 10,745# dry. I can tell you that I never trust the numbers as they always seem light.
The gas engine might be the achilles of the entire setup especially when it comes to grades. 3.73 ratio?
Then a 2500 with a CTD your payload goes way down to just over 2100#, but you get the pull power.
Your on the ceiling with limits, so overall experience might suffer. Good luck with your decision.

We just got back from Las Vegas towing our 5th wheel, the weight is 12,xxx I was towing it with my 6.4L 4.10 gears it did it with no problem but in the hills I was getting 7 mpg and of flat I was getting between 8 to 9 mpg. Well now I just bought a 2017 2500 diesel cummins.

Running any machinery at near max capacity is not only a questionable policy, it wears out the equipment sooner. Just my .02. I would try to shave another 1-2 K off your weight. Good luck.
