345 Bhts AC air flow question.

Hello every one. This is my first post. Im a first time rv owner and I bought a 345BHTS.

I did a walk through and noticed the AC is infact wisper quiet but the amount of air coming through the vents was unexceptable. I did notice that all the air was only coming out of the vents on the door side/passenger side all the way through the unit. All the vents on the other side didnt really have anything coming out...
Is this normal???

I opted for the 2nd AC to help keep the temperature down in the florida summer heat but want to make sure there is nothing wrong with the main 15kBTU unit. I have my demo/walkthrough in 10 days from now.

Congrats and welcome.

On my unit, the main AC system has a large vent / intake on the ceiling. Also on that unit are vents, that when closed, force the air back through the duct work in the 5er.

It's been too cold here to try the ac. But now I'm going to try it out so I know. I'll try to remember to answer tomorrow on how mine works.

Im having the 2nd AC installed. From what I read it is also connected to the duct work. If thats the case maybe that unit is supposed to fill all the ducts on the opposite side as the other unit, the ones with next to no air flow.

The main AC is back in the bunk house amd does not have a quickcool or main dump. Its 100% ducted as my understanding goes.

Our 5th has 2 A/C units and both are connected to the ducting. In addition the ceiling units each have 3 slide vents that are called "quick cool" vents and allow the unit to push air directly into the coach. Makes them louder but after things have cooled we close them for a quieter experience.

You will normally get more air out of one side vs the other, but you should be getting air out of both, just not the same volume.

Thanks Grumpy... I did some other walkthroughs and seen what volume a 15k BTU can move and this unit just seemed a lot lighter on the air flow. I know its a large unit and was turned on while it was 140f inside (95f in florida) so i didnt expect it to cool it for the 30 mins i was in there but do know the amount of volume Id expect to see.
