355MBQS air conditioning in bunk room?
I am interested in the 2017 355MBQS but am concerned about the AC in the bunk room being sufficient. There is 1 AC vent in that room. Can anyone share their experience on how the AC cooling works in the bunk house on a hot summer day? Thanks!

I have a 30.5BHLT and it gets warm in the bunk room with the door closed and bedroom vents closed. I have 2 A/C's and normally open the door & bedroom vents when I head to bed. IMHO the single duct is not enough.

We spend two weeks in 100 degree weather this summer. Nobody complained about being too warm. We have the dual ac option in ours.
Daughter loves having her own space, it's a wonderful floorplan.

We're always researching different rigs, and the duct drop into that room was one of my first concerns. Not like the rear bunk where you can add a second or even third AC. My only idea was to access the duct drop somewhere and install in inline 12v duct fan to increase the cfm to that space. I'm assuming you were talking about the main level bunk room.

Thanks to all for replying. A few years ago I owned a Keystone RV with a rear room with loft above. That room did not any AC ducts at all, only in the loft above & the bottom room temperature was miserable especially in the sun. For those that have stayed in the 355MBQS during the summer I sounds like the mid bunk room is a little warmer but is manageable, correct? Thanks!

Turning radius
Mark464, thanks for the reply on the room temp. I notice that you have almost the same TV as me. I have a 2015 Sierra 3500 SRW SB with the B&W Companion hitch. Are you happy with the turning radius of the 355MBQS w/o hitting the cab? With my current 40' RV I can turn around in a cul-de-sac. It is tight and not fun but it works w/o hitting the cab.

we only have a single duct in our 32bhds which is a much smaller trailer and it stays warm in the bunk room during the summer. The second a/c should actually be in the bunk house not the bedroom

During the day when its the hottest, the one vent will struggle to keep it cool if the door is closed. The best way to cool off any RV is to keep doors open and allow air to circulate all over. At night with the bunk room door closed, the vent should be able to keep temps comfortable in the room.

I've backed in to some tight spots with no issues. Just have to pay attention.

On our 2016, I put a vent above the bunk room door like you sometimes see in a house to allow for air flow with the door closed.
It made a good bit of difference in allowing the hot air out of the room and the kids like being able to close the door and the heat not build up.
Nothing in the wall there on the '16 as it doesn't have the loft design of the '17. Just cut a hole and put a vent on each side that I bought at Lowes. Painted the vents brown to match the wall more than the white that they come painted. Worked great.

My daughter would get a little warm in the top bunk BUT she is the type who always has excessive blankets. I agree with those who indicate it's warmer but manageable.
