36SSWS Battery Compartment

Can some one with a 36SSWS please give me the measurements of the battery compartment. My closest dealer does not have one of these in stock and I'm working up the cost of my solar and Lithium battery project on my newly ordered 36SSWS.

Thanks in advance and we cant wait to join you all next spring on the road

Sure, give me about 12 hours. We did our PDI today for the same unit and are waiting overnight for the dealer to fix items on the punch list before we hopefully drive away tomorrow (Tues). I'll be happy to to take measurements and snap pics to send if it will help. We are now in Orlando area of FL and hopefully driving home with our 36SSws to SE GA tomorrow. Nice to know we have a cousin out there and will be happy to share notes.

Angus

Only big problems with PDI were slides (surprise?).

Kitchen slide did not fully retract, leaving daylight in lower aft corner and not a perfect seal outside. Hopefully a limit switch adjustment.

Bedroom slide problem: With the bedroom door frame, the outboard door jamb is part of the slide, and the inboard door jamb is part of the fixed chassis frame (where the door hinges are). If the slide does not extend completely and squarely, the door frame will be out of square and the bedroom door will not close properly or at best will present an asymmetrical gap. Again, hopefully, a limit switch adjustment.

Other items were minor and cosmetic and the kind of things I could fix myself without much effort but will have them do as long as it is still there in the shop.

Last problem was with the 5th wheel hitch installation but that was a problem with our Ford dealer and the RV dealer was good about agreeing to work with it,

The RV dealer is Orlando RV, newly relocated from Winter Park FL to Castleberry FL - all are Orlando Suburbs. They are part of the RVOne family of dealers.

The inside width is 29.5"
Depth is 24" from back wall to inside of front lip. There are two cleats for hold down straps inside the front lip and they protrude in about 0.5"
Inside height is 15.5" from floor to inside of shelf. There is a 2" Shelf flange on the single shelf that reduces slide-in clearance by the 2" to 13.5"

Let me know if you need more info. At dealer now waiting for hitch installation in truck
