377 RLBH with SB Ram and Andersen

I am getting ready to pull the trigger on a 2020 377 RLBH.

My current BHLT has a Reese Revolution and works fine with my 16K Curt stationary hitch. Tons of clearance, no chance of the cap hitting the cab.

With the 377, I should really upgrade to a 20K Hitch. I suspect that a Sidewinder probably voids the frame warranty, So I need another alternative.

I’m familiar with sliding hitches, auto and manual, my question is for those who pull this camper with a SB Ram with an Andersen, how do you have the coupler set on the Andersen and does it give enough clearance for both the cab and rails?

I don’t intend this to be an Andersen vs Slider debate, just trying to clear my thought process.

I am no expert but I bought a 2018 377 RLBH 4 weeks ago and I have a Reese 16k slider and it seems to being doing fine.

Just for comparison, I have same truck as you, but a '16 model year. I tow with B&W slider, but I've only used the slide once...ok twice! Once I checked that it worked and one other time I used it just to be on the safe side...probably didn't need it tho. Good Luck!

The reason I am considering the Andersen is the extra clearance to the cab without having to manually slide. That’s what I like about the Revolution. I really don’t want the weight of a big honking slider, but don’t want a broken truck cab even more.
