377RLBH Bedroom Closet Shelf Removal

Any help would be awesome. Trying to take out the lowest shelf in our bedroom closet to allow room for our dogs bed. I removed the screws and the shelf will not move. Did not put much force into it as I don't want to break anything. Any suggestions on what I need to do? Attached (hopefully) are a couple of pictures.

It obviously comes out for the W/D so I would use a fist and give it a hard rap.

From your pic it looks like the you removed the screws for the shelf supports. The shelf itself is either nailed down or glued down to the supports. If you have enough room, I'd start tapping the shelf in the corners with a rubber mallet or hammer from the bottom.

It is stapled/nailed in there. Once you remove the screws, you will need to pull/rubber mallet on one end at a time. I had to remove mine for the W/D, and I kept them but they will not go back easily.

Thanks everyone, looks like I will be breaking out the rubber mallet. I would have guess it would have only been screwed in since that is the W/D location.
