377RLBH questions

Question 1
How big are the inverters in your units? Mine is a 1000w. It throws an error when fridge tries to defrost. I feel it is under sized. I have a Frigidaire galley fridge. So if boondocking or towing, I have to keep checking on it. It beeps and wakes me up at night. If the E08 error is showing, I have to shut it off and turn it back on and it takes right off again.

Question 2
My pin box scrapes the bed rails. I use the Anderson hitch and trailer is level. How do I raise the rig up? Drop the springs to next hole down? I don't think that will get me high enough. Is that easy to do on campsite? Taller tires? It doesn't look like pin box can go up higher.

Question 3
Anybody swap mattresses? We have a queen. It is terrible. I don't want something too thick or heavy. Also not looking to spend thousands. Ideas?

Question 4
I haven't moved on question 3 because I want to make the master bedroom into an office during the day. I almost need the bed to be a Murphy bed. Anyone try something like this?

Question 5
Anybody have AC failure? My front isn't working. It's the Coleman mach low profile. I swapped out both capacitors with the working AC and still a no go. Compressor tries to start but won't fire. The overload cuts it off from trying to start.

Other than broken AC, under sized inverter, broken furnace, broken toilet, non working rear camera system, dead bathroom fan, it's a great rig!

I have more questions but will ask later. Thanks all!

What’s wrong with the furnace?

I have the 1000w inverter and I’ve never noticed it throw the error when boondocking before I made a defrost delete mod for boondocking. It has LED lights on it to notify me when it tries to go into defrost and doesn’t let it.
I have noticed sometimes when I unplug shore power to leave I get the E08 error.
You have me wondering now if the fridge was in defrost mode when I unplug.

You can force your fridge into defrost at anytime if you want to experiment.
Defrost draws 45 amps.

My mattress was a back killer until we put one of those foam mattress pads on.

And I dropped to the lower hole on the spring hanger, and I got taller tires.

Please expand on the defrost delete mod and LED lights. I'm working my way thru the mod thread. . .
Also, do you have the frigidaire gallery fridge?

Furnace will not fire. It tries but doesn't stay lit. I'll tinker with that sail switch and it may work for a little while. It's either that or the circuit board I figure. I see it's common. I have a warranty. . . Just don't want to take it in.

We went to our local furniture store (PM Sleep Center) and they had LOTS of mattresses that fit our 377. Wife and I found a queen and are sooo much happier. We actually had a normal queen that fit instead of a RV Queen.

We have the same fridge. Jayco changed it for 2019.

Here’s the thread.
I’m pretty sure no one else has done it yet.
Jasum keeps talking about doing it.

https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...mod-47511.html

Wish I could help you on the furnace, but my (and a lot of others) problem was it completely shuts off after running for 10 mins or so, and the, impossible to reach, reset switch has to be flipped everytime. And I’m sure you know how hard it is to reach your furnace. The fix there is a new switch.
You could, indeed, need a new board. That was the first thing my dealer did when I brought it in....wasn’t the problem.

We had the furnace issue as well. Initially worked then would start but not fire. Went thru warranty and they replaced the board. Two weeks later same issue. I bought a sail switch myself, replaced it, and never had a problem since.

Reference your bed....we had the king. Didn't like how big it was and I bought a Sleep Number bed (Queen). Wonderful.

Not much help here as we haven't experienced any issues in your questions. Believe my inverter is 1000w too. For the mattress, we put a pillow top on it and now we sleep as good as tempurpedic at home - amazing.

Is the ball on your Andersen hitch maxed out height wise, the ball is adjustable, not sure if you know that but you probably do.

I may be in the middle but if I go any higher on the anderson ball, I will have more "tail strike" issues with my bike rack. I am currently not level - front is higher than back.

Yes, 2019 it was upped to 1200. I swapped it out for a 2000 watt unit.

We got our full queen sleep number from their store on sale for like 800 ish ! Love it.. We’ve had a king at home for over 8 years with only a $20 part needed in all that time. Most important thing still can get the “firmness EACH of you craves separately and so many years later.

Just don’t be anywhere near fully inflated and travel up higher in elevation! Can expand in higher elevations and exceed limits of the mattress.

2 years now and my furnace still does not work. Had Jayco look at it and still no good. Drives me nuts, had the board replaced as well.

Did you get your trailer back from Indiana?
