My 06 F350 came with 3.73 rear end. We are pulling the same 351rlts. Pin wt on mine is 2800 loaded. I am sure the DRW's come with 4.10.

I had an 06 with 3.73 and thought it pulled well. I was worried when I got my 2012 and the only option was 3.55, almost thought about not buying it.
It pulls better then the 06 and gets way better mileage towing and empty

I don't want to hear it! LOL I have several friends that poull similar rigs with the same SRW you mentioned and love it. Of course they came from a 7.3L diesel.

I hope this one lasts until I am issued a chariot.

I don't think your manual is for a 2013. You can't get 3.73 or higher in a 2011 or above SRW ... Only 3.55.
Your 6.7 has 3.55's in the rear
I got my info here https://www.ford.com/resources/ford/...superdtypu.pdf

I see where you're coming from now... You're reading the manual for a gasser.
The diesel is different

My 2013 has 3.73 gears. Wouldn't want any higher of a gear. 2007 (last rig) had 4.10, or whatever the low gear ford offered was. 3.73 does fine. We've towed 15k plus with it and no issues. This is a dually though. I'd honestly rather have the lowest gear they offer. Fuel mileage is negligible with the gear ratios, at least in our case.

Yes, a diesel changes the rear end specs. I had a 4.10 on my last dually. It did the job and not at much loss of economy.

When you are towing a behemoth, you put that a little down on the priority list.

How did you get the 3.73`s in a 2013.
I asked when I bought my 2012...no way.
Did they bring the option back in `13
And its not even listed in the Ford towing guide that I posted above..
Are we comparing comparing SRW and DRW?
