4X4's and Eagle HT's

Ordered a new Eagle 27.5 RKDS with intentions of pulling it with my 2011 Chevrolet SB 4X4 2500 Gaser. Ordered it with the upgraded tires (16" Goodyears). Now I'm getting nervous after reading about the various height issues, particularly with the new Dodge 4X4's having nose up problems. Is there someone out there with the same TV (Chev) towing an HT Eagle? Have you experienced any height problems? Thanks!

I believe your truck sits a bit lower than the newer ones, so with the 16" wheels and the spring hangers on the lower setting you might be okay.

We run a little nose high, but after ~6800 miles this season with no issues, I'm not worried about it.

2013 GMC 2500HD owner here (basically the same truck as yours) towing an Eagle HT with a Reese 16K Pro paired to the Revolution pin box. I have the 16" tires but did NOT move the axles to the lower shackle holes. Rides a couple inches high but I have yet to notice anything driving or otherwise that would suggest it's a problem.

We had the 2013 version of that model. TV was a 2010 2500 HD 4x4 Silverado ltz. We did not upgrade to larger tires or work on the axels. Ended up with 5.5 inches of clearance between bed and trailer. It was a little nose high but we never had any problems. I agree ford and ram sit higher than Chevy. I looked at a 2016 and it even sits 2 inches higher than my 2010.

We have a 2012 GMC 2500HD 4X4 and a 2012 HT 26.5 RLS and have not had any problems with being too nose-high. We have around 5-6 inches of clearance and, other than one tiny little scrape on the bed raid, not a problem. We have an old Reese 15,000 manual slider hitch. You shouldn't have any problems with your set-up.

I have a 2016 27.5 RLS HT with 16" wheels and pull it with a 2015 Ford F250 4x4. Knowing that there might be a problem I had the dealer put into the sales agreement that he would put the spring hangers on the lower hole if the nose set to high. I was glad I did because it did set to nose high and had to be adjusted. It took two guys about 2 and a half hours to move the spring hangers to the lower holes. When done, the HT still sets just a little high but the truck squats about two inches so not bad at all. I think you should plan on having to have the spring hangers adjusted.

I have a 2017 Eagle HT 27 16" maxxis tires, revolution hitch and I pull it with a 2016 Chevrolet 2500 HD Dbbl 6.0 20" wheels. The Eagle sits 1" to 1/2" high. Very happy with the Eagle and the Chevy combo, a breeze to drive even in a stiff wind.

2015 2500 Z71 diesel
Sits substantially higher in the nose to the tune of 6-8"
Cleared abou 5-6" over the bed

No issues except dragging the rear end coming out of steep inclines.

The hitch catches that though thank god

I know you are looking for people with chevys but I have a Ford F-350 and even with my hitch at the lowest setting my trailer rides nose high. It has not given us any problems.
