Me too.

If you ever saw a picture of one that took a hard hit you wouldn't want it inside your rig.

Sparky1 had asked me about the wiring on our unit as he has the same one. I answered his questions and added why I chose to use a hard wired unit. Everyone has their own reasons for what they do. As far as I'm concerned- "weather resistant" isn't "weather proof" and the locking device can be beaten with bolt cutters. Hard wired was my choice and I felt the best for what I wanted. Others want to go with a portable-that is their choice. I have no problem with anyone's choice. Go with what is best for you.

Exactly my feelings. My PT50C has been hanging around outside for the past six years full time and it is still with me.

Last night our PT50C shut the power off. I checked it out and found that a pedestal breaker had opened. The EMS shut the other side off.

We moved power over to a 30a outlet and this morning they found a defective double 50a breaker, one side bad. It did not trip, just went open and did not trip.

Good again.

On my SOB I did the 50amp plugins....so it was easy to switch out..plan to do the same when we pick up our 18 Pinnacle on Thursday....I have an older unit from like 8 years ago...has worked well...found 3 bad campground hookups since we had it.....so glad to have had it....
