50 amp shore power cord options

This is a post that is only relevant to the frustration of RVing in winter. But does anyone have a better option on a 50 amp shore power cord that you can actually flex and manipulate in cold weather? I am tired of wrestling with the heavy power cord in cold and freeing temp's. Thanks

Camp closer to Brownsville in the winter is all I know to do to solve the problem.

Well, semi retired but not yet full retired, so that is a problem for now. I broke down and ordered a shorter power cord. Gonna store the 30 ft one in case I need it and try the shorter one (15 ft) for most stops. Maybe that will help.

I put a more ryde hand cord reel in my Eagle. Makes it allot easier than wrestling with the power cord.

Might be an option..

"FLEX50A cord rating is from -50 degrees C to +105 degrees C. Outer jacket is Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE). TPE, along with stranded bare copper conductors, makes FLEX50A the best combination of flexibility and durability on the market."

Nothing made of rubber works in cold weather. I suggest you become a Southern when camping during the winter!!

In the cold, what do you really need the 50a powered for?
Just use a 30a cord and an adapter

Go to an electrical supply house tell them your problem make sure you tell them 50 rv service, not sure but I think wire size is 6 gauge or 6/4 - 6 gauge 4 wire, they will want to know the NEMA numbers on the plug ends, bring the cord with you
