What pin box are you using? Any issues with your Andersen now that you've had it a bit longer? Thanks

Just the stock pin box that came on the ‘18s. Nope, no issues.

Great. Have ordered a 30.5MBOK with the standard pin box to use with the Andersen hitch and wondered if I'd need to re-think the order & look at a Mor Ryde box to make the ride better. Thanks

5th wheel hitches

You won’t need the Moryryde with the Anderson. I have the stock pin box and Andersen and I’m very happy with how it pulls. I have a 2018 293RKDS.

Andersen recommends NOT using any kind of cushioned pin box with their Ultimate Fifth Wheel Connection.

I contacted Morryde myself to confirm compatibility with the AUH before I purchased it, and they confirmed there should be no issues, so I’m not sure what your source is. I am towing with the Morryde Orbital Pin Box and have experienced no issues at all.

My source is Andersen. This is a cut and paste of the email conversation I had with them on July 22, 2014 The only editing I did to the below was to remove any of my personal information.....

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Mor/Ryd was given to us by the manufacturer to do some testing with on our product to see possible problems of using our setup with it. Our hitch actually performs best with a stationary pin box that does not pivot or move as those movements actually cause a surging sensation while towing with. The Roto Flex has been known to want even pressure on the pin plate that a traditional fifth wheel hitch provides instead of our coupler block which has pressure centralized to a smaller area.

The coupler block changes the pressure applied to the pin plate just enough that it is better to use a traditional pin box compared to the ones that have movement in them like this Ultra-Fab does.

Anybody that wants more clarification should contact Andersen and ask the questions themselves, just like I did. The people at Andersen are very helpful and accommodating.

The email states the AUH works best with stationary hitches and does not recommend the Roto Flex from 4 years ago. You are assuming based on that statement it doesn’t recommend the MorRyde RPB? I don’t see how you can make that conclusion. Anyway, I beg to differ based on my experience.

Do whatever you like. I really don't give a crap. I'm following the manufacturer recommendations.

Anderson told me that a stationary pin box works best. Stationary means no movement.

Unlike the rotoflex, the MorRyde does not move.
There simply is some rubber cushioning. I believe Andersen was referring to the pin boxes that actually rotate or move like the Rotoflex are not compatible

I am wanting to install a Reese Revolution # 61450 on to my Eagle HT 27.5 for use in my GMC with 5.5' bed. Can I replace the current Morryde pin box with this Reese # 61450?
