5thwheel or gooseneck?

New guy here.We just bought 321rlts & we'll get it tuesday and my truck has a gooseneck alllready.Should I spring for a 5thwheel hitch or just put the adapter on the RV?I'never hooked up a 5th wheel or towed one.

I would suggest you call Jayco or at least talk to a Jayco dealer and see if that is an acceptable hitch. They put a lot more stress on the front of the trailer.

I use a fifth wheel adaptor on my 31 rls. Have never had any problems. Have way more room in the bed for other stuff.

Id weigh the cost of the adaptor, to installation of the 5er hitch.

Price wise the gooseneck adaptor is aound 350-400 bucks. MY truck already had the gooseneck hitch. The jayco dealer installed the adaptor on my 04 designer. They said tons of folks use them and no problems as of yet. My campers warranty was up but i purchased a 4 yr unlimited warranty and everything is covered. I dont think a new camper warranty will cover if you have one. I go off the beaten path with my camper and the gooseneck allows me to twist way more than my buddys with they`re 5th wheel hitches. I also have alot more room for other stuff. I like it alot but thats only mho.
