AC/DC converter issues

I recently replaced the battery in my 2010 eagle super lite rlds 5th wheel and crossed positive negative connections I believe I blew fuses/breakers to converter because now my battery is not charging when plugged into 120 power. Can anyone tell me where these fuses/breakers are located and any other suggestions for the issue

Welcome to the forum, but, unfortunately, I cannot help with your question.

Please post the year and model of your Eagle 5th wheel, it might help someone else help you.

Reverse polarity fuses are visible when you open the fuse/breaker door. Should be too right by themselves.

I’ve done the same thing. Blew the reverse polarity fuses (fuse panel like Mopar says), the fuse in both thermostats (digital Coleman) and an in-line fuse behind the radio.

This is what my converter 12VDC Fuse panel looks like... You can see the two 40A Fuses off to themselves. These usually blow when you hook the batteries in reverse...

Thanks Roy, I don't know how to post pics but I have no fuses marked reverse polarity or above 20 amps. I have a breaker marked converter but it's fine. My ac items work fine but my dc items quickly drain the battery which does not seem to be charging when plugged in

There could be a fuse in line near the batteries themselves. This is common in travel trailers, but I'm not sure about fifth wheels.

In TTs, there's often an in-line 30A fuse just after the battery that can pop for various reasons and causes the same kind of problems you're having. Historically they've been contained in a water resistant boot. Follow the positive wire from the battery as far as you can, and you may find the little black boot. If/when you find it, open it up and check that fuse.

My TT had an auto-reset breaker up there as well as a fuse; the fuse was for the power tongue jack on mine though.

My Greyhawk has a Progressive Dynamics converter. The reverse polarity fuses are on the converter, not external. Just a thought.

I had a auto-reset breaker go bad one time, the only time we had 12 volt was when we were plugged into the tow vehicle. The reverse polarity might have ruined the breaker. Our breaker was in a box under the travel trailer just behind the tongue on the driver's side. (That was a 2010 Rockwood.)

You need to find the model number and location of your 45AMP Power Converter... Did any paperwork come with this trailer. I had a hugh folder stuck between the hot water heater and the wall that had specs and paperwork for all of the installed appliances...

I suspect you have a WFCO 8945 Converter... It should be close to the floor and usually is mounted under the fridge or oven setup... Sometimes they are in the storage area under the main bed.... If it is a WFCO product then it will look like my picture in the above post I made... All I could find in your specs list online was it has a 45AMP Power Converter....

Look for something close to the floor that looks like this...

You can push in on the door and you will see Circuit breakers and 12VDC Fuse positions...
