AC Doesn't Cool
We have. 2019 Eagle HT 39.5 BHOK. Only had it 1 month.
It has one whisper quiet AC unit and it does not cool the interior past 7 degrees temperature difference from outdoor temperature. Obviously this is a huge issue and would like to know if anyone else has this issue and if there is a fix. Jayco said it only has a 10 degree temperature difference cooling capacity. Does that mean that Jayco expects people taking their 5th wheel to Sedona in the summer (just an example) when it's 95 degrees outside to only be able to cool the interior to 85 degrees? This is crazy. If I knew this I would not have bought the unit.
Thoughts or advice are welcome.
Thanks.

Well my trailer will cool down to below 70 and it was 90 outside.
Maybe mine is broken.

Make sure your thermostat is wired correctly. My AC fan Low/High wires were switched on our new Jayco. We were disappointed in the cooling also but then found it had been running on low the whole time. Once I switched the wires there was a significant difference in cooling.
That said, the new whisper quiet system is nice and quiet (relatively) but I do miss the quick cool down feature of my previous ducted system that allowed the AC to blow straight into the RV to bring the temps down quickly.

UPDATE:
The 5th Wheel has a single 15,000 BTU AC unit.

That size rig really is 2 AC territory.
Our TT was 33" from hitch to bumper, and there were plenty of days our one 15K AC couldn't keep up. We had 2nd AC prep in our unit, and if we had kept it, installing a 2nd unit was one of the first things I was going to do.
We ended up trading up to a MH though. And our new MH has 2x 11,000 AC units. Even still, on the hottest days we have a little trouble keeping the rig nice and cold.
ETA: I assume you mean you have 29.5BHOK? In that case, it's a 35' fiver, but still. I see on the Jayco website it's available with 2nd AC prep with 50A service. Does yours have that option? If it does, I would go ahead and put on a 2nd 15K unit (which is also available as an option from Jayco).

Just to add
I have 2 AC units and only had one running because I was on a 30 amp site.
I will say that I was in the shade from trees

Direct sun adds a ton of heat load. As does the color of your rig. Paint is pretty but it conducts a lot of heat back into the coach compared to white fiberglass with stickers.

Yup, shade vs sun makes a HUGE difference, even with a white rig.

Well, I'm going camping next week so I'll see.
Maybe take a thermometer and take the temperature of the air coming out of the duct. If it is below 70 degrees then I would suspect a volume problem. But again I'm just guessing. I will see what mine will do next week.

My other 'C' had tan fiberglass. Man that thing got hot to touch. The white isn't as nice looking but I appreciate it when I'm camping in full sun.

You guys had me questioning our 355mbqs. I felt like the 15000 whisper quiet a/c in the living room wasn't cooling like I thought it should. We're camping in Pigeon Forge right now, and I went out to the truck and got my temperature gun. I've got 45 degrees coming out of both a/cs so I guess I shouldn't complain. When I texted my service manager, he told me it should cool down to a 20 degree difference from ambient temp to cooling temp.

Great: Thanks for the info.
Do you have your thermostat on "AUTO" or "HIGH"?
I believe that "AUTO" keeps the fan on low speed!!

Cool high or low keeps the fan running all the time. Auto will shut the fan and AC down when the set temperature is reached. Comes down to preference. During the day, I will keep it on cool high or low and at night if we still need the AC I will turn it to auto so we don't need to hear the fan all the time.

First trip we went on, I didn't understand why a/c ran all night. Cuz we didn't have it on auto. I thought if it was on low/high cool and not on auto, it would run continuously but I guess it will just run the fan if the temp desired is reached. Not sure. I just put it on auto all the time.

You want to run the AC on high, often when on low the unit will freeze up and not allow air to flow thus stopping the cooling. We have a 15k unit on our RLS 27, does a good job but at 39' I would think you want two AC.
Good Luck

There are things you can do to help with the efficiency of the AC.

We tried taking it off auto last night. Worked out better in the bedroom as it wasn't so loud kicking on and off. That thing is louder than our Open Range bedroom a/c.

If you have a digital thermostat, you should have Hi & Lo plus Hi Auto & Lo Auto.
I keep mine on High Auto. While having 2 AC units is ideal, 30amp service seems to be more readily available then 50amp (in most of the state parks I frequent) and 30amp will struggle with 2 units without tripping breakers...if you can even start 2 AC's which is unlikely and not recommended because of the voltage drop. Not good for the AC units or any thing else that runs on shore power for that matter.
Some people re-wire their second unit to run off the 20amp connection in the site's pedestal but my experience has been that most are just tapped from the 30amp plug so you're still drawing in excess of 30amps and you'll trip either a pedestal breaker or the breaker in the panel feeding it.
If you can get some shade on the camper, pull your window shades down partially on the sunny side of the rig through the day and keep the door closed, the 1 15K unit should keep you comfortable. I was out last weekend, 91 outside high humidity but by "shading" the inside easily maintained low-mid 70's.

Seal those ceiling vents!!
I used aluminum duct tape. Seal so the vents send all the cold air into the rig, not into the ceiling cavity.
On my 2016 355MBQS, I can maintain 73 in a sunny site with 98 degree outside temps in humid SC running just 1 15K AC due to being a 30 amp site.
