Add washer/dryer combo to 2015 Eagle HT 29.5FBDS?

Has anyone out there added a w/d combo unit to their Eagle HT? I was thinking of doing so just inside the door and connecting to the kitchen sink water and drain. Thoughts? Issues in doing so? At about 150lbs I don't see much of a weight issue.

We talked about upgrading to a larger Eagle 347BHOK, but want to entertain this idea as we love our current 5'er...and the price is better than a new trailer.

I install a Splendid XC2100 mines is the combo in my 321RSTS it's pretty easy the hardest part is drilling a 4' hole in the side of your trailer.

Do you have a place to install it, they do make a more portable one but I'm not sure about it.

I was thinking of putting it right inside the door, below the TV. It would be maybe 4-5’ from the sink and right above the front passenger landing gear. I have researched the more portable washing machines, but not what we were looking for. 4 kids, 2 adults, we need an actual machine for our longer journeys.

Do you have a pic of your setup?

Here is a pic of our setup and where I was thinking of putting it. There are four outlets in the cabinet below the TV. I would open the under belly and connect water and drain to the kitchen sink.

Yes I do have pics, they do make a stand alone type of washer and dryer that you might want to look into.

That might take some doing because their not a designation place where, you have to have water drain and water hookup and where are you going to put the vent for the dryer, unless you get the Splendid XC7100 which don't have the vent dryer?

Looks great! More research for sure on my part. Looking at the vented option like yours.

Ended up going ahead with the project! Water and drain lines hooked up to the kitchen sink easily, about 3’ away. A lot of measurements and remeasurements before drilling those holes in the floor! I stayed within the frame so the lines are somewhat insulated/heated in the underbelly. The drain line does drop slightly below the floor before coming back up to the sink drain pipe, a long “p” trap if you will. The machine pumps the water out without issue and I know there will be some water left in the drain line. The 4” hole in the wall was nerve racking, but it also was rather easy once the placement was confirmed. I will get some pictures posted.

Wow, now that is using one head, I wouldn't be able to do something like that but it look like that you made it work.

Mr&MrsSmith, thanks for posting. Adding a W/D to our RV is a goal of ours. We have a 2012 31.5 FBHS, which is basically is the same floor plan as yours. We purchased it new in order to take the four grandkids camping. The grandkids have now aged out and the need for the 4 bunks is not necessary, thus our plan is to install the w/d in the bunk room below the upper bunk. Your post just gave me confidence that the project is doable. Thank you.

Welcome.

We would have put ours in the bunk room as well, but need the beds for our 4 school age kiddos. I build the platform on the existing seating area. I put a bunch of supports under it, thicker plywood and carpeted it to help reduce movement as well.

We are hoping to head out to TX and maybe TN this Friday so we are looking forward to using our own w/d instead of a laundromat or the in-laws.
