Adding power vent to 26.5RLS

While at the dealer for some slide toppers I also asked them to see if they could install a power vent in the living space of my 26.5 RLS.

The service manager originally said "sure". But when he ordered and looked at the structural drawings of the roof he said their was no room. There are two AC ducts that run the length of the living space and the vent won't fit between them. And there isn't room behind the AC (towards the back of the trailer) because the AC is pretty far towards the back and there are also cabinets back there.

I'm really disappointed because the windows don't open very far and when boondocking in the summer there just isn't much way to get airflow through the living space. I'm having a power vent added to the bedroom - just hoping that will pull enough air through the RV.

I changed out the bathroom vent for a power vent and when run on high I am pleasantly surprised by the air flow I get just by leaving the bedroom windows open. My 23 RD is only 27 foot but still when boon docking it is acceptable. That is the only vent we have.

That's interesting BillyRay cuz my 26.5RKS is pretty much like yours (except rear kitchen) and I suppose the AC ducting could be different. However, when Jayco sent me the roof framing diagram, it showed frame-outs for vents in both the bedroom and kitchen/living room area. I put power fans in both locations, in addition to replacing the cheap bathroom fan with a Fantastic. Too bad...it's a nice upgrade.

I don't suppose anyone out there has a copy of the roof drawing of a 2015 26.5RLS they could send me?
