Air in line

Hey all ,
2019 27 sgx Eagle , We just love our Eagle ,just took ownership and have it sitting on our property at the base of Mt Shasta in Northern Ca . Have owned 4 other 5th wheels so I am pretty familiar how they work , when we don't use the water for fifteen minutes or so through the pump it has quite a bit of air to purg out, I have checked everywhere for leaks and found nothing , is this normal or is there something , and also the pump is not cycling which would be an indicator of a leak , any input would be appreciated. Dan

Not normal. Does it occur both for hot and cold water?

I suspect it is the filter screen housing on the pumps inlet. Remove it. Check the o-ring, maybe add a little plumbers grease to it, and resecure. Does the filter screen housing look all stretched up? If so it is full of micro fractures, and need to be replac.

Could also be a loose fitting/valve between the pump and tank.

I agree with Jagiven. I had a very similar problem and that was the problem. The cracks were not visible even with the housing removed and in my hand. Replaced it anyway and problem went away.

Did anyone mention and have you checked that the winterize valve is not sucking air instead of pulling through the water from the tank. If your water tank is level with the pump and not below the floor you should get flow much sooner.

We had a summer cabin where we had to prime the pump system by filling the hose with water from the top to allow the pump to get suction going.
