Question Air Vent Covers

Just purchased a Pinnacle 38FLFS be delevired in Feb. Was thinking of having them put them put Max Air Vent couvers on but not sure if they will work or needed. About 80% of the time am at a seasonal site. Any ideas would help.

I have this cover and yes they are well worth it. I leave my vent open when I am away and have never had water through the vent. And it very easy to install yourself.

Covers (in my opinion) are one of those "must haves" because if you havem' you never have to worry about leaving the power vent open. Cheap peace of mind for me.

I prefer the MaxAir II covers because they allow more airflow.

I agree, the Maxx covers are worth every penny....., the Maxx plastic is much more robust than the OEM plastic roof vent lid and doesn't get brittle (UV) over time like the OEM vent lid.

I have one on mine and it's a good thing, like the others have said you can leave your vent open and not worry about it, we have a seasonal and there was one weekend that it wasn't closed before we left for 5 days

I have maxxair on mine and think they are great for the reasons mentioned above. The down side is you won't get much of a breeze through your vents with the maxxair on them.

Awww c'mon guys.... what fun is it camping if you don't get a few drips of water on head sitting under the opened fantastic fan vent watching TV...

I apparently need to get a couple of those vents covers as well...

x2 on the covers being a must have. The Maxx Air II are the way to go. You need airflow 24/7 and this way you can leave open vents cracked or wide and your unit will be happier for it.

They are easy to clean too as it's only 2 pins to pull and flip them over.

I believe that the OEM vent covers are non-UV stable by design. If they were UV stablized they would sell about 1/10 as many as they sell. A milk jug left outside will outlast a new RV OEM vent cover. So yes you need the aftermarket vent covers or stock in the OEM covers.

..... my TV isn't within viewing sight from my bathroom, even with the door open ........

ps: Depending on the model of Maxx Air cover placed over a high output fan vent, you may want to consider removing the screen on the Maxx to allow for adequate air flow.

Agreed! When I replaced my original vent and cover with the Fantastic Fan, the cover itself was yellow, brittle and the rubber gaskets were just about gone. This was only when the unit was one year old.

This is one area of design that I could fix by adding a single sentence to the drawings. Perhaps they are unaware that engineers with extensive experience in plastics buy their products.

Yes. Vent covers work. And, work great. Suggest installing white over bathroom and living areas. And, install black over bedroom areas. Especially if you like to sleep in (and hate morning light).
