Andersen Ultimate hitch to Morryde pin box

I just opened up the box for the Andersen Ultimate hitch and it says you need the Morryde adapter #RPB7-009 to use it on the Morryde movable pin box. Does anyone know anything about this? We’re supposed to take delivery of our 2021 North Point 310RLTS this month, and I want to make sure I have everything needed to hook up to it.

Yeah, I and a few other had find the some thing we have gone through this a little but what it's talking about the hitch that I have below.

People that have the AUH and the PullRite Superlite like myself have went through this, those that have had the AUH for years said that they have never had a problem but if you not comfortable still keep on with your search.

The pics that you see is what they are talking about, these type of hitches and not the AUH or PullRite Superlite.

Thanks Big 1, I’m a little disappointed that there wasn’t clear instructions about that before I purchased it. I’m going to return it and get a Reese goose box instead. Appreciate your help.

Okay sir, no problem you should have good luck with the Reese goose box anyway, I haven't hear of any bad reviews, well to many anyway. Good luck and let us know when you get it and get it install.

Those pictures are not of a MorRyde hitch. That MorRyde part is a reinforced bottom plate for the pin box. It is clearly in the info I read the plate costs $200. from MorRyde.

I know a few who did not install it and have had no problems. I have the hitch on order also.

So what hitch do you have coming, the Reese goose box or the reinforced bottom plate?

Neither, The Anderson Ultimate 3220. We may be talking about the same thing. There is some confusion. I called MorRyde about the plate last week. I am not going to use it with my AUH.

Big 1, I know you have the Pullrite Superlite as I do and also the Morryde kingpin. Do you have the adapter plate? I knew nothing about this and my dealer installed the hitch as they threw it in with the deal.

I called Andersen customer service earlier this week and asked them about the reference to the MorRyde Adapter kit part # RPB77-006. The person I talked with said that they have sold the hitch for years, many on MorRyde hitch pins and have no problems reported. I asked why then the reinforced part? He said he did not know.

I know this is now 4 years old but that may be good for my inquiry....
How is that/did that work out for you? Keeping the original hitch with the Anderson?
I've got the Anderson Ultimate and lately have had a lot of forward/back chucking. Much more than previously. Wonder how serious this is?
I know they have the adapter but finances are less than friendly. We're full time but hanging out at one location for a while.
Am I about to lose my 43footer along some highway with this chucking going on that is now greatly felt??

Thanks.

I can't answer for the chucking. We have the hitch and it works great, no chucking. I don't have the adapter either

I did not experience a lot of chucking with the Anderson Ultimate other that what I already had on poured concrete seams. I did invest in the MorRyde mod mentioned but it did not improve or degrade the pulling experience.

Last year, I sold the Anderson and am now using a B&W Companion. The main reason is it required increased range of travel of my landing gear when hooking up for travel.

I also have the Anderson Ultimate hitch and I also do not get any chucking unless it is on poured concrete seams. I have not added the MorRyde mod. I have been happy with the Anderson solution.

Since I park my 5th wheel on my driveway on a uphill slope, I have to move my landing gear substantially to get the unit to level when unhitched. The increase range to unhook and hook at a campground seems insignificant compared to at home.

We were happy with it for 3 years. My truck sits way high with a lot of squat. That's a recipe for a long range of motion when hooking or unhooking.
