Anderson ultimate hitch

Has anyone had the hitch frame turn on top of the bed while towing? I want to get a floor mounted tool box and don’t want it hit if the Anderson turns.

No. I've had mine for four years and that has never happened. Be sure to torque the top bolt correctly.

I don’t see how that would be possible if you’re torqued properly. There probably isn’t much twisting force on it since there is a ball and socket mounted at the top.

I took a rubber floor mat< cut it in 2 and placed each half under the hitch just to give it more "grip" on the floor of the box...probably not necessary but it makes me feel better!

If it's torqued properly there are no forces to turn it.

Thanks all. Just wondering if the salesman knew what he was talking about.

Yes they will move when torqued properly especially when there is an unlined truck box. I also installed rubber under the base of hitch

never had mine turn. I placed rubber mat underneath it for extra security.

Mine has never moved and I don't have a rubber mat under it. Only towed 3-4K miles and I check it every stop.

I’m not going to say it’s impossible, but mine has never turned with just over 6300 miles on it.
