Another Generator Pre-install Question

We are installing a Onan generator in our Pinnacle. I was told the 5500 would run the entire rig. After reading some of tge recent posts mentioning a 30 amp draw, I became concerned. Will the 5500 run two 15k a.c. units and all the normal daily items. I understand there is a 6500 and a 7000 that we may need to look at. Looking to boondock but still run both a.c. units. Any advice is appreciated.

I run our PINNACLE just fine on the 5500. Even the 6000 Quiet Diesel has 2 30 amp breakers and we ran everything in our 08 SENECA with no problem.

I really don't understand the logic, but we had a 11,000 whole house geny that had a built in 60 amp breaker. It worked flawlessly as well.

Thx Grumpy, I originally sent the post directly to you in a msg but I thought others may ask the same thing.

So to be clear, you can run both a.c. units in Florida on the 5.5? No concern with running through a 30 amp breaker?

Correct. Any of the single a/c units only have 30 amp service and everything else is the same as far as appliances.

We also have the 38FLSA... each AC runs on separate legs, at about 13 amps each. We have and no problems running both ACs/TV/Fridge/etc. while dry camping.
