Anyone towing a 5er with the Rambox bed?

My father-in-law recently purchased a 2020 Ram 3500 SRW with the Rambox bed. On his first trip out, while making a sharp turn down a slope, his pin box got into the Rambox on both sides of the inner bed. He currently has the Andersen hitch and is wondering if a different hitch would work better. So, is anyone towing a 5th wheel with the Rambox bed. If so, what hitch do you use? Thanks

Unhappy

Our Ram 3500 SRW finally arrived yesterday. It is a Laramie model loaded and with the factory puck system. could not order it with the Puck system and the Rambox. That was a disappointment, but your example was the reason given. My '15 and '20 Ram 1500's both had it and I will miss dearly. The '20 also had the split tailgate that initially I was not sure about until I used it. It is almost as useful as the Ramboxes, lol. Couldn't have it in the 3500 either!!

Jetlag, Big1, thanks for the information. I’ll share it with my father-in-law.

I'm not 100% but I believe you can add the Mopar addon factory puck kit on rambox trucks after the fact. Factory won't build them that way as they aren't considered compatible. You know, liability.

The only way I have ever seen it be possible is with an articulating pin box like shown in the video. There is not enough room for it to work with any hitch that pivots at the truck unless you have a REALLY short pin box.

Yes I agree. Heck my wife misses it as much as I do. She kept some of her Sam's Club insulated bags on one side. Amazing how much stuff I had in them. This new truck has the fancy stereo and the subwoofer almost takes a whole side under the back seats.
