Anyone with a 2014 Pinnacle 36KPTS?

Our friends just got a new to them 2014 Pinnacle and the Jayco remote is not working to control anything. He found a process to relearn the remote to the board and did that, it seemed to flash the lights to signal that it worked, but still nothing. Does anyone have this type of control that can offer some suggestions? The control board in the basement is an ALTA brand and I'm not having any luck finding any info on the web for that. They are 2 hours away from us so if I can get whatever info I can to help troubleshoot this it would be appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

Adding a picture of the remote to see if anyone has any suggestions for troubleshooting.
Thanks

I read somewhere that there was a switch to disable the remote, is that true and if so could you post a picture?
Thanks
Chris

Don't think that is true, you just don't use it which is what we did with our PINNACLE. As was mentioned the batteries never lasted very long.
