The completed weight of your rig vs the one Rustic posted is 110 lbs less so there is no way your label is correct as far as CCC.

Since your trailer is equipped with a tow hitch the GCWR is 3,000 lbs more than your trailer GVWR which is 10,130 lbs

Your GVWR is lower than the published number on their website by 865 lbs. that’s where the “missing” cargo capacity is.

Something else doesn’t make sense: the sticker Rustic Eagle posted is only one months older than yours, and the axle ratings are the same, but that unit has a GVWR of 10,995.

I would talk to Jayco about this discrepancy and ask them to compare the VIN number from that other unit compared to yours. Make them explain why your GVWR is so much lower.

Good luck!

There must be an English major crunching the numbers on this one at Jayco!

Do you know what your axle ratings are? They are listed on the axle stickers, as well as the hardware list that Jayco provides with the trailer.

That can't be right. I have a 2019 28.5, and the GVWR is 10995. Your sticker says 10130. That's an 865 pound reduction.

Another clue that it's wrong- they have your GCWR at 13,000+, same as mine. The GCWR is the weights of the rv and anything you might tow behind it. (Not counting the tow vehicle. So they are basing that number on the 10995 GVWR.

I'm sure it's a goof up in the calculations at the factory.

Factory weight error.

Well has the factory corrected the label for you yet? If not, call them directly, instead of going through the dealer.

It could be right depending on what options you have and what he doesn't have.

Yes, he will have less cargo allowance than me because he's got a heavy generator that I don't have.

But the starting point- the GVWR, should be the same- 10995, but they rated his 865 pounds lower for some reason. It's got to be a mistake.

Instead of 700 pounds or so of allowable cargo, he should have around 1500.

You're right I was thinking of the completed vehicle weight. That is only 110 less.

My 2018 28.5 RSTS has a GVWR of 10,100 lbs. did they increase the GVWR on the 2019 model? Nice!

That is interesting. Your 2018 is 10,100. Our 2019 is 10,995. And now the 2020 is back to 10,100? I just checked a few 2018 listings, and like you say- 10,100. But the 2020's I've found online say 10995.
Now I'm wondering if our 2019 was correctly rated....

Can you return the camper to the dealer due to misrepresentation of merchandise? Advertised vs actual.

The dealer would not be allowed to install anything on the fifth wheel that would make you go over just by having full tanks so something is not right no way and if it is right I would get a hold of the dealer that installed that generator and then I would just give them back the camper

I’d run it over a scale, and then do my own math. Maybe someone recorded an incorrect weight at the factory.
