I did some looking at my stickers and axle sticker and I believe the weight limit may be based on the axle capacity. These are my #'s.
GCWR 13130
Factory weight at completion9123

Oop's hit the wrong key before I was finished.
GCWR 13,130 lb
Factory weight at completion 9,123 lb
Max Cargo 1,007 lb
If you add max cargo and factory completion weight = 10,130 lb
The Axle cap 5145 x 2 = 10,290 lb
Then you wonder how the GCWR can be 13,130 lb if the axle is not rated for the weight? I do believe the axles on my camper should have more heavy duty. at least 6,000 lb.

Could it be that the sticker takes into account the added 385 lbs for the generator?

For 5th wheel and gooseneck, a lot of weight is carried on the pin/ball, so not all that weight is on the axles. If you scaled your unit, you'd realize that. I recommend you scale your combo. Now on bumper pull, there is a lot less weight on the tongue so the axles typically match the GVWR as they carry almost all the weight.

Good advice here. I have Dexter 5200lb axles on my Eagle. The Eagle's GVWR is 10,500lbs. So 10,500-10,400=100lbs over if loaded to the max. Taking into account the 1400lb tongue weight thus 10,500-1400=9100lbs on the axles equals more than enough wiggle room. My camper scales at 9250lbs loaded and when you subtract the 1400lb tongue weight from that I have over 2800lbs taken off the axles while towing.

cargo capacity
It is the axle rating. The sticker is correct.I had TT that I basically restored. It was a jayco featherlite 197.I upgraded the axles.the original CCC was only 445 pounds. It is ridiculous.Thats how they they keep the weight down.Everything is downsized.

Whoops senior moment, I knew that just not thinking. My camper axle weight on the scale is 8,600 lb. That gives me a pretty good cushion 10,290 lb axle capacity.

With load range E tires and 80 PSI.. you should be in the 6 - 7 K axles range but maybe they put on 5K... hard to say without looking at the axles but I suspect if they did you would have D rate tires and 6 lug.
Do you have 8 lug?
can you lookup the sticker on the axles and provide the model of them?
I suspect yes your going to have weight on the pin but in the past my 2 7k axle trailer was rated at 14K lbs
I wonder if they do the sticker like this to keep the GVW down with people and big truck so they don't go past 26K lbs aka de-rate the trailer to help the customer with newer trucks as the combined GVW if over 26K pushes you into CDL lic territory

I got the axle rating right off the sticker on the axle. It is a Lippert Axle with a max capacity of 5,145 lb. The Lippert Item# is V000408984. My trailer has the Goodyear Upgrade from the factory with 16" E-Rated Goodyear Endurance Tires. When I took delivery of my trailer I took pictures of all the stickers on the trailer including the axle, Jayco stickers even the Sanicon System. They are in an album on my phone. It really comes in handy anytime I need it I have the info right on my phone. My GVW including the truck loaded for the road less family members is 18,340 lb.

I almost didn't get my 2018 28.5 RSTS because it had a sticker cargo capacity of 1005 pounds. Factory wt with full LP 9125 per the yellow sticker and GVWR of 10130 (same as others posts for the 2018 model) Other ones I looked at had higher cargo capacity. We were told by the dealer it was less due to.. solid kitchen counter material, auto leveling, fireplace, theater seating, better porcelain toilet and ?other options, which cut out cargo capacity compared to other 28.5 RSTS on the lot . Not sure why yours at 750 would be even 250 pounds less. None the less..I'm always worried about how much I load, and CAT scale wt does show us within that limit but it does seem there is a significant issue with cargo capacity with this model when options are added.

2018 28.5 rsts
If you have not run across a scale yet, I would. We have the same model in 2018. The pin weight in the factory spe says 1475#. The scale says the pin is 1920# and the trailer axles are 8020#. The number seemed to be off. The scale weight of the trailer is 9940#. The sticker on the trailer GVWR 10130#. Do the math only 190# cargo. Jayco need to get the this corrected. The traler axles are 10290# less the scale weight 8020# = 2270#.

I got a special order cargo trailer in with my VIN and a cargo capacity of about 2,000 lbs, on the stickers. I looked under and verified the heavier axle and my capacity should have been about 4,000. I contacted the dealership who contacted the manufacturer and the send a corrected sticker.
Check the axles
It might be mislabeled or maybe during that time frame they used different axles (silly to do)
