Auto level almost wrecked camper, help appreciated!

So twice a year I use the auto level feature on our 2016 pinnacle. This year it gave me an error about being out of stroke. I researched and found that means the rear Jack's we're stretched to their max. I raised the rear Jack's to add more supports underneath. When I did so the front driver's side jack made a loud crash noise and dropped on that corner. This happened twice and it seems the pull pin dropped the unit. I was able to get the camper level again however it seems that Jack has now extended much further than before. It just doesn't seem right to me. See the attached pics and let me know if I need to do something. The help is much appreciated!

Street side pin isn't through the leg, need to hook it up to a truck and raise it up to see if the pin is intact. Looks like your near full stroke. May not have had the pin fully through the leg and it slipped.

Wow, I would think those pins should be rated for at a minimum 60-80% heavier than equipped. Wonder if it was material failure. I'm sure Jayco / Lippert will make that right.

I am sure Jayco will cover the cost of repairs. Is it possible the pin was not fully engaged into the landing gear? When the pin is fully engaged it goes through both sides of the landing gear, I have had mine at times snap into a hole, but not fully and I have to sometime give the extension leg a tap/shake so the pin seats fully. Just a thought.

I agree, your pin didn't go all the way through.
It happens all the time to me. Don't depend on the pin to seat itself with the spring action. I usually have to give it a wack with the palm of my hand for it to go all the way in.
I have seen the pin with weight on it not seated all the way through, I can see it bending.
If it was all the way through and sheared off, your picture would be you holding a little end and the middle piece in your hand

Sorry that it happen, but it is a 5 min fix. Any dealer should have one hanging in their parts department.
