Go for a 30 gallon drum. They come in metal and polypro. Mounting hardware from Grainger.

Is there a specific reason you want poly? I have a RDS 74026. It's aluminum comes in at 19" has a 50 gallon tank and a toolbox on top.

I just ordered the RDS 40 gallon tank and install kit directly from RDS. Best price I could find was direct. This tank will fit completely below my cover, and it will double (or more) my traveling range. It also will install completely in front of my puck connections. It should be delivered early next week, according to the email that they sent me.

I have a Titan tank that replaced my OEM tank and doubled my original fuel capacity. It has been in service for 12 years now and works great and nothing is in my bed but stuff I "need" to carry around.

Which model did you purchase? I don't have access to my truck (out of country) so I can't measure but what is the distance from puck to wall behind the cab? I see some toolbox/tank combos widths being 20"and more. And too the box has to be out from the wall an inch or so to allow the lid to open completely.

Which model did you install? I don't have my truck with me but I understand the box needs to be out from the bed wall (behind the cab) an inch or two to accommodate the lid to fully open. How far is the pucks to the box? Some boxes are 20" some are 21" etc. to not interfere with the hitch.

I am on the road and don’t have the info with me.... been 3-4 years ago....maybe I can see the tag on the tank...will try to look tomorrow...I actually ended up cutting the tool box off so I still had an 8 ft area within the bed of my truck for 8 ft material....plywood, etc...and could still cover it with my bed cover....

How much extra weight does a filled auxiliary tank add to your rig. Many guys are way over their designated weight limits now not to mention adding an extra fuel tank. How is it no one is talking about that?

My RDS tank is number 173103 from Northern Tools...but don’t get this one...it has the deeper toolbox that will stick up above your truck bed...I had to cut the toolbox off...there is a model with a 4 or 6 inch tool box... I just ordered the wrong one...I also have the pullrite OE Series 25k hitch...my fuel tank is 51 gallons and adds approx 400 lbs when full...it has a breather/overflow tube so be careful when tank is full how you park your truck...it will overflow due to expansion on hot days if your truck leans the wrong way...otherwise love having it...can easily drive 800 miles between fuel stops when towing....no more truck stop fuel ups...

+2 on Titan. I did that with one of my Duramax that had a 26 gal tank. What were they thinking? Anyway it doubled the amount of fuel.
