Awning

We have a 2016 339flqs, when we put the awning out in a light breeze it wants to fold at a pivot point. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

I do not have that model camper, but on my last one both arms of the awning had a knob that had to be hand tightened down after bringing it out in order to secure it.
