awning fuse recall 2019 377rlbh

Has anybody had this recall done yet and if so do you know what they actually did? My dealer informed me that I had to bring my unit in to them and that's not a possibility at this time so looking to get some info. Thanks.

I will be in the same boat. I fulltime and it's not an option right now to take it to the dealer. I thought someone may have already had it done and it involves installing a 5A fuse inline to the awnings in addition to the 15A already in place. I don't know exactly where it was installed but I will try and find out. Hopefully someone chimes in here with some info.

I just had the recall done on my 2019 Pinnacle, they said they changed the awning fuse and added an in-line fuse in the top corner of the awning. I am sure if you asked your dealer they would give you a copy of the recall instructions. I got a copy and added it to my printed manual I keep in the RV.

You got a copy of what the dealer did? If do could you scan it and add it here please? My dealer's response was I'd have to bring it in when I asked if I could do it myself. Thanks.

I would like to help you, but this is a safety recall with a risk of fire if it is not completed. I spent 13 years as an electronics engineer and live three hours from the nearest dealer and I can assure you this one needs to be done by the dealer to protect you from liability and loss. Do you have the recall from Jayco? It is pretty clear that your dealer should get you in ASAP and get this resolved. My dealer was 2 months out on appointments and they did this for me with 3 days notice in about an hour and a half.

We have a dealer 50 miles from us in Pooler GA (not where purchased) and will take it in. Joan says that they have been very accommodating, know that we are full timers and that we will be waiting for the repair on site with 4 dogs and 4 cats. They took our VIN, have ordered the parts and will make the appointment as soon as they are in.

As MaxDMax said it has to be done by the dealer and it is probably Fed law do the liability. With that said, contact JAYCO as the may have mobile service available if you cannot get it into a dealer.
