awning slider sticking

Hello, what is a safe way to make the slider that is on the tt wall move more freely ,that support the awing. Is any silicone spray safe on the wall material, or is there a safer product. Worried about over spray hurting the paint. Thanks for your input and any suggestions. ( tt is a 2011 Eagle Lite 27.5 bhs )

One side of my awning was sort of jerky going up or down and noisy and I thought the rollers weren't rotating. Sprayed with silicone but that didn't resolve my issue.

My problem was one strut was somewhat weak and wasn't pushing the rollers firmly into the track. Replacing the strut solved the problem.
