Axle Design Flaw Eagle RSTS

Discovered yesterday while having one of my two defective axles replaced under warranty.Axle seals all blown out, called Lippert. Appears my 16 Eagle axles had a design flaw maybe others which causes seal to blow out prematurely. Even without adding grease to through the cert.Lippert was more than happy to cover the seal cost plus labor. And clean up the brakes totally covered with grease.Lippert claims new axles today that flaw has been removed.Problem is how many people pull the hubs for an annual inspection?Lipperts phone is 574-537-8900 tech support axles.Of course Jayco is now where to be found on such a serious problem! Thanks

It was like pulling teeth to get my greasy brakes replaced.

Just got mine back yesterday. Replaced complete backing plates and installed dual lip seals under warranty.. Still have to break them in, but stops better already.

I have a 2017 that I recently traded into. I have to pull the wheels and inspect the brakes and seals within the next 2 weeks before we go on a 1400 mile trip. Since mine is a little newer is there a way to tell if it already has the dual lip seal? Asking because I dont know what it looks like compared to a single lip seal. TIA, Jim

I had the grease problem on my 2011 EAGLE. Dealers referred it Jayco who promptly conferred with Dexter and they handled it thru my dealer all under the 2 year warranty.
I still believe that the dealer is lax in many of these complaints.

Thanks but I traded into my 2017 Jayco 28.5RSTS. It was used when I bought it so there is no warranty. From what I understand the seals have been being upgraded by Jayco because of all the problems. (double seals etc?) I dont know exactly when that time frame was but I am looking for info on what the newer seals may look like compared to the old style that blew out. If anyone knows any info would be greatly appreciated.
