Bad Thermostat?

Good morning Jayco Family!

I have a 2016 Northpoint (377RLBH) and it seems as though my thermostat isn't working, or at least I can't get my heat to come on. I have full LP tanks, both opened. I am connected to shore power with no issues there. But I can't get the gas or the electric heat to come on. (I have not tried to see if the AC will work because it's so cold out). Is this a common issue, or an issue that some of you might have had? What's a good solution? Do I need to replace the thermostat (if so, what is a good model to get? I'd rather not replace it with one that doesn't even last 4 years) or could it be something else? I'm brand new to the RV life, so there's a good chance I've overlooked something as well. Thank you all in advance.

Does the furnace fan come on at all when you are requesting heat?
it should come on first before it tries to ignite.

Safe to say you have checked your breaker switches as well?

I do not hear, or feel any air movement from the fan when requesting heat. I did check the breakers (after you suggested it) and all were good.

When I turn the fan to the "on" position rather than "auto", I don't get any air movement or fan noise either.

The next easiest step to me would be to remove the thermostat (you should be able to pop it off the wall plate) to check the wiring to it. There should be a terminal strip on the plate that is mounted to the wall. If the wiring all seems to be in tack and tight then check and see if your thermostat has batteries. If so they may just need to be replaced.

Could be a failed thermostat or something as simple as a loose wire on the thermostat or furnace. Check your furnace wire and see if there is any voltage coming to the thermostat. If not, start back at the fuse box and make sure the furnace is getting power. Then start looking for furnace problems. Lots of help there on diagnosing failed furnace control boards and wiring.
If it is a mechanical thermostat and not digital, time to replace it anyway.
