What did you do for the inside garnish that isn't long enough that comes with the max air?

i used the one that came with my Maxxair. It fit perfect. I didnt have to cut it down to fit

Same for me. After all the thinking about how I was going to trim it straight, I found that it fit just fine without trimming. No gaps.

It was very close, but I didn't need to trim it at all on the Fan-Tastic fan.
