Battery
My battery on my fifth wheel, will not stay charged when hooked up to shore power?
The battery is fine. Took it to RV One because it’s still under warranty and asked if it was the converter, I’ve never even heard the fan come on. They treated me, like I was an idiot and basically said there was no problem. It is always hooked to power unless I’m driving. Any ideas would be appreciated?

What voltage do you have on the battery when plugged into shore power with as many 12v systems on? If your converter is charging the voltage should be about 13.4v.

On our TT, the circuit breaker to the converter/charger has to be on to charge the battery.
Checking the voltage at your batter, like Vicr said, would be a good idea of a place to start.

It has a full charge, but then the 12 volt systems drain it, unless I keep it on a battery tender.

Only way to know what's going on is with a digital volt meter. Unplug your shore power and take a voltage reading at the battery. Then, go plug the shore power back in, and take another reading. You should see the voltage jump up to the mid 13's. If you don't see that increase, you know where to start troubleshooting...

I charged the battery to full charge. Had it checked also at a shop and they said it’s fine. It will not hold the charge, when hooked to shore power. I’m camping now and the battery died again. Have to keep it connected to a battery charger. I’ve looked for a fuse on the outside, but cannot find one. The ones inside are fine. It’s a 2017 Jayco Eagle fifth wheel. Any ideas?

You've received a couple suggestions that you check the voltage at the battery when it's supposed to be charging. That would be the best place to start.
Or, you could just keep banging your head against a wall  .
Do you have any questions about how to perform the test?

If you’re camping and hooked to shore power then you don’t even need a battery.
How do you know it’s dead if you’re hooked to shore power?
All your 12v should be running off the converter and you wouldn’t know if your battery was dead or good.

Part of your problem is RVOne.... they clearly didn’t explain your unit well enough to you in your delivery, and they CLEARLY provided no help when you brought it in for service. It’s their TYPICAL sell it and forget it attitude, which is why I wouldn’t purchase anything more complicated than a plastic wheel chock from them, ever again.
Now, for some help: Connect a volt meter to the battery with the unit plugged in to 120v shore power. Get a reading. Now unplug the shore power, and get another reading. If the battery is low, the reading should be about 13v (depending on settings) when plugged in, and lower when unplugged. If the reading is unchanged, it’s indicative of a problem (tripped breaker, blown fuse, or worse) in the converter. Hope this helps....

A late update on this thread. The converter was never working, as I kept saying. Finally had to take an expert with me to Tampa RV One, before they would fix it. Thanks for all your help
