In theory, yes they will extend and retract. I have done it many times with mine, but my TT, has a small light slide. It goes in and out at its normal speed.
If it is a big heavy slide, I would expect it might be slower than usual, as the 7 pin does not provide a lot of current.
What do you have for a 5ver?
