Bedroom slide retracting crooked & incomplete

Our bedroom slide won't fully retract or extend evenly. We have called Coach Net and are waiting for response as the slide it...out.... have tried pushing on the resistive edge to no avail. Have removed all bedding, although there is nothing we can see in the way to impede movement. Anyone with suggestions/ recommendations?

Well, after being in touch with Our dealer, then Coach Net, then Jayco, then Lippert, we waited for 3 hrs for a tech to come. Spoke with son who suggested we bounce on the bed, jump around near it and then hit the retract switch, we did just that with my husband pulling on the bed frame from inside...yes..that all worked. Tried the slide x3 successfully and cancelled the service call. Are these slides that sensitive to movement???

Glad you got the issue sorted out. And yes, the slides are that sensitive to movement. We had an issue at the beginning of the season where we couldn't retract the kitchen slide - long story short, the rig had settled a bit after I extended the slide and there was just enough twist to the frame to bind it up.

The slide motors can also get out of synch very easily. Rule of thumb is to always extend/retract the whole way all at once and continue to hold the switch for a few seconds after slide movement has stopped.

Mine were a little askew and we read on this site to run it all the way in, then back out about a foot and do this 3 or 4 times to reset the timing on the 2 motors. And it worked! But it sounds like yours was more than a little askew!

Thanks, we are having the same issue, I think we will do this tomorrow, jump around and do some bouncing in the bed! For real though, exact issue happening here! 2012 Pinnacle.

The lesson we learned was that the front, the rear and the sides have to be balanced for the slides to work correctly. No problems simce we have adhered to that. We had not been as careful as we should have been..ie, pulling up to a curb outside house, extending slide thoughtlessly, and trying to make bed with fresh linens. You really have to balance the rig...as well as the fridge. I thought just the fridge would be OK..Not! Hope our ideas help you.
