beginner's questions

couple of things. we are new to RVing. Have 2003 Jayco Designer fifth wheel. Does the water heater work off electricity and propane? If so, how do you choose?
Can the slides be operated manually?
thanks

At the control panel of the Batt Check--FWtank--GreyTank--BlackTank, there should be a switch for the WH - Gas and Electric (and the DSL light for failure to lite).
Be sure to lite the stove first when the propane is turned on to remove air from the line.

On my 2003 the electric water heater was on a light switch like you have in your house and the gas was on a rocker switch.

You can use both for quick recovery as long you are on shore power.

Slides you can most likely operate manually on that year with a ratchet as that is pre schwinteck, but that is only in emergency cases and not something you want to do. There should be a switch to deploy and retract the slides on a permanent wall.

If you plug into 120V the converter should allow you to deploy regardless of a battery.
