Best automatic airbags for 2016 Ford F-250

Just bought 2019 317 RLOK and we have a 2016Ford F250 diesel. Hubby wants automatic airbags and would like input from the forum as to best model/brand to buy and any other advice

There aren’t any “automatic” airbags for the fords. Ram trucks have a factory airbag option that you can push a button to automatically level the truck.

For the ford, the air lift 5000 is a good choice. You can get the wireless controller to inflate or deflate to the desired pressure pressure. It’s not “automatic” but you won’t have to get an air hose to inflate them

I know that the airlift bags have a jouce in it but you have to have 5 lbs of psi in all of the anyway but either one will work

I had a pair of the airlift 5000 on my 2012 F150 a few years ago - worked great. you have the remote controller in your truck and can add/reduce air at any point in time. There is a small air compressor installed under the truck to inflate the bags as needed. Kept the truck level.

Tembrens they never fail, airbags can and will.

Kelderman makes setups that are automatic but the are not helper bags. They are complete suspensions systems and not cheap.

I have the Airride with wireless controller. I just add air when towing. Also allows me to remove air when going under low hanging obstacles on the fly.

My preowned 2016 RAM 3500 came with the Airlift fully automatic system. As soon as the trailer weight is on the truck two compressors kick on to inflate the air bags and level the truck. When I unhitch a solenoid valve releases the air and restores the ride height.

Great system, I would buy it if and when I get a newer truck.

Ran air bags on several truck for years with never a failure. No idea where that rumor comes from.

You can install an auto leveling sensor system with the air bags. I know airlift has it. I'm sure Firestone does too. That would be them fully automatic.

I had wireless controls on past vehicles. My 18 Ram has the factory rear auto leveling air suspension.

I purchased airbags from AirLift. They have a couple options. I have not installed the air compressor. I don't haul every day and find it easy to add and remove air quickly manually.

Airbags have been around a long time and generally work very well for a long time. In my case AirLift sent me some replacement parts when I was trying to install the air bags because a couple fittings were defective. The replacement parts worked fine and I have not had one issue since I installed them 3 years ago.
