Best portable grill?

Have the 2021 northpoint 31rlts. Will use a quick connect hose for grill and looking for grill suggestions. Looking at the q1000 Weber. Thank you for all feedback.

Hands down - The Blackstone Tailgator available at the best price anywhere at Camping World. Has a Griddle, Grill, and a usaeable burner under the grill for Low Country Boil Chili, or whatever you want to put in a pot. We cook almost everything outside and breakfast is the best.

Spring for the covers to make it last

The Weber Qs are great. I have a Q120 that is probably 15 years old. Great little grill. The 1000is the new version of it.

I have a Weber Q grill and love it.

If you want to run it off your rig propane you have to remove the regulator from the grill. Propane gear sells a quick disconnect to replace the regulator to make it easy to hook to your rig. If you go with a Blackstone they have the same kit for them as well.

Why is that?

Because the RV already has a regulator in line.

I've been using a Weber Q for the past 10 years and love the grill. I carry a 20lb tank that I use just for the grill.

What he said, it will actually kind of work but you won’t get much of a flame.

Ahh sooo, thank you. It makes eminent sense. I would have scratched my head for days trying to figure out why it wasn't working

We bought a Coleman Roadtrip portable with the folding legs - fits in the storage bay and is light enough to manage easily - this one:

https://www.amazon.com/Coleman-RoadT...68342713&psc=1

In order to use the onboard propane, I found a YouTube video that shows how to convert without removing the regulator and will still allow the use of the little 1-pound propane bottles or a portable tank - great modification. I managed to use fewer parts and rather than his quick-connect location, mine comes straight out the rear of the control panel. Used it last week for the first time and it worked perfectly!

I have the two burner camp chef with griddle and love it. Breaks down for easy storage and gives you two burners to use without griddle.

highly recommend.

I have the Weber Q 1000 and just got the Weber griddle for one side of grill. So best of both worlds now. The only thing I do not like is the grease collection pan. I hate the idea of attracting varments to my basement. I got a stack of those disposal tin trays. I wish they made a rubber plug u could insert from bottom so the residue from inside grill stays there when traveling. Nobody scrapes a grill every night when traveling.

I have the Weber Traveler Portable Gas Grill. I have a toy hauler and have it strapped to a side wall. I used a weber q when I had a motorhome mounted on a swing away attached to the bumper. the weber q didn't get hot enough to seer a steak. But the traveler does.

I love my Q2000

However, ignore all the info on how to clean and maintain it. The best info is hidden at the end of the instruction booklet. Soap and water regularly except for the cooking grated.

I had a WeberQ. And Coleman stove, one of the ones you use with white gas and had to pump. Carried an extra propane bottle for the Weber, and a lot of cast iron for use on the Coleman. Gave the Weber to my daughter and the Coleman to my grandson since they still tent camp. I replaced everything with the Blackstone Tailgater. I bought the carry bags to make it easier to transport, removed the factory hose and regulator and bought a 12 foot hose with a plug that plugs right into the quick connect on the trailer. I line the grease trays with foil to make clean up easier. I can cook for just the wife and I and I have made about 6 #'s of cheesesteaks to feed 8 people at one time. I use a couple bungee cords to keep the legs closed when packing up and the second one to secure the hose on top. I've ordered a small sheet of 18 gauge diamond plate to make a cover for the griddle side when set up but not in use.

We love our Tailgater - have the bags also for better storage. I just use one of my 30lb tanks since I use very little LP with Heat Pumps with the A/C's. I did get a longer hose with an ajustable regulator to crank up heat if needed. Love the You Tube cooks for Blackstone - Walt Twins, Cricket, Todd from Blackstone, Hungry Hussie to name a few

We love our Weber Q1200. I think the only difference between the 1000 and 1200 is the thermometer in the lid. I had an olympic grill and it was constantly flaming up....charring everything. The 1200 is a Joy to cook on. Even heating, no flare ups, holds temperature...I love it. As others have said you will have to remove the regulator on the grill if you want to connect directly to your rig. It was pretty easy to do....bought the connector parts on Amazon.
