Black Tank Oder In Bath

Was out for a few days,when flushing toilet awful odor came right from tank almost like under pressure.Never happened before does the tank vent through the top of the camper?Filled tank to max 3 times dumped tank several times over 8 hour day.Any other idea's? Thanks

Was your bathroom fan on while you were flushing? That will suck odours out of your black tank.
But yes your tank is also vented out the roof of the 5th wheel.

That happened to me a few times. I think if the tank vent pipe is a couple inches to long in the tank, and it is full, it will create some pressure between the tank and the toilet. When you flush, it could "burp" and cause a small burst of air and the odor. More often on a hot day...

That is exactly what happened, when I refilled tank a dumped three times was surprised the crap that came out.Did not have fan on guess we will see what happens next time out. Nice and clean now! Thanks
