Black water tank clog

We are on the eighth week of a ten week trip. In Alabama the temp was 9 degrees and didn’t realize the drain line for both grey and black water froze. No pipe damage but the black tank won’t drain I believe they call it a compacted tank. What is the best way to unclog it. We are on our way back home to Montana via Arizona and won’t be in a area long enough to have it pumped out. Any suggestions. I have a 2018 jayco Eagle HT 26 BHX.

If it's not completely full it might loosen up with your next move. Otherwise the only thing that usually works is to call one of the tank cleaning companies since it requires a high pressure jet that goes in from the dump valve.

Thanks Grumpy, it did drain a little bit when we arrived in Shreveport. Hopefully it will let go in Abilene.

Could try something like this. Wally world might have one on the shelf.

This has worked for me a couple of times.

You'll have to make your own female to female to hose connection.

I had a similar problem and bought this 45 degree clear adapter with a female connection for a hose to flush out the tanks. You need to cap off the end with your sewer cap when flushing with a hose. Works great and I use it all the time when dumping and cleaning tanks.

Thanks for all the advice. I bought the flushing adapter that you guys suggested and worked like charm. Even my sensors are clear. Thanks again.
