Overheated, no melted, one lug melted the rim and froze to it. Stoped to get gas in the rain and wheel was sizzling. There is no reason to even use the center lube, this was designed for boat trailers to keep out water with full hubs.
Hand pack every few years and all should be good. Until ur drum goes just a bit out of round than these stupid self adjusters will ruin ur day.

I complained about my brakes on my 2016 317RLOK from the day I took delivery of it. They said they neede to be broke in. Took it back again, they adjusted them and said it was normal. Took it in last November to have the wheel bearings repacked, asked to have the brakes checked again. I was told the seals were destroyed as well as the brakes. They replaced everything from the plates out. It was all covered under warranty. It sure is great to finally have brakes.

I would think that the brakes on a trailer towed from Jayco to your dealer in Illinois would not have a claim that the brakes were not burnished in.

That’s exactly what I was told by Jayco the first two times I brought mine back.
I was standing there while the service manager was talking to Jayco in the phone.
