Blown bearing seals on 2019 355MBQS

We took delivery of our 2019 355MBQS in April 2019. I figured it was about time to have the wheel bearings inspected/packed by the dealership in case there were any issues while it was under warranty. Turns out, all four rear seals were blown and had grease all over the brake drums and pads. I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer after they get with Jayco and the warranty decision. Not only should it all be covered, I shouldn't be charged the $310 for the packing of the wheel bearings. At least that's my thoughts. Mileage on the rig is under 10,000. I never noticed any issues with the brakes. I've wondered since we took delivery if they even put any grease at the factory. I've heard stories where they were never initially greased at the factory and the bearings failed. I wanted to make sure things were good but I guess they weren't.

I think there were some issues with this type problem with other brands. The warranty will be through the axle manufacturer.

As CAG said it would be a Lippert/Dexter warranty issue since they arrive at JAYCO as an assembly already greased.

I had the same thing on my new rig. Warranty claim was handled by Jayco thru Lippert. They furnished 4 new brake assemblies and my dealer installed them, all under warranty.

Obviously done before I took possession as I never lubed them the first season.

I didn't think about it being covered through Lippert. I never greased them this year as I picked up the unit in April, ordered from the factory on February 5, 2019. Never even pulled one of the wheels off. Have no idea how long the seals have been blown. Funny thing, for some reason enroute to the dealership prior to finding out the seals were blown, I squeezed the brake controller to check the brakes. They stopped us fine. Not sure why I did that. Just felt like I needed to do it at the time. So we'll see next week how long this all is gonna take.

Yes, this was/is not an isolated issue. Lippert replaced or repaired a number of axles on Heartland products for the seals breaking down and spreading grease over the brakes which then made it rather difficult to stop the rig.
