Blue LED under front steps

Greetings everyone, I have a 2020 Northpoint 387RDFS and it of course has the blue LED light under the steps. My issue is that it is only on when the awning lights are on. Quite often in the evening when you’re having a fire, you don’t want these super bright aircraft landing lights polluting your night sky. However, the blue LED is very cool. On my 2019 Northpoint I had a separate switch added to the control panel to isolate the blue light. The 2020’s have a different control panel. Has anyone successfully isolated their blue LED from their awning light? Thanks in advance.

I did this mod...you could just put both Awning lights on Awning 2 and leave the steps lights on Awning 1 if you don't want the blue under frame lights.

Video explains everything.

Thanks Learjet. That would be great if I had 2 awnings. However, my rig only has 1 awning.

I found a wireless controller on Amazon and wired it in line at the awning. It dims the LEDs from 0 to 100%. It has worked perfectly for two years. It was about $8.00. You'll find it by searching for a LED wireless controller. I leave the power on and can turn off the awning lights and leave the step light on.
