BMPro replacement tablet after warranty

I have been following all the threads on the BMPro tablet issues.
Ours just started to act up last trip out. I took the tablet out yesterday and charged it up.
I am going to attempt to change battery out, but I would like an option of replacing the tablet with one that fits in the housing.

Anyone that has done this can you post a link or model of your replacement tablet.

I bought a 7” one from Walmart and it is 1/8” to wide and has a C charging port not a Micro USB.

I use the app on my phone now to control.
If i am successful of replacing battery with out damaging the tablet I will add the tablet from Walmart some where and use as a secondary unit.

Is the cloud functionality useful to you? best I can tell, you lose that with an aftermarket tablet. There are a couple successful battery replacement in a couple of threads. Personally I would try that first

Thanks. I am going to try the battery replacement but needed a back up plan in case i damage the tablet taking it apart.
