board above bed

We have a 27.5 Jayco 5th wheel..RLTSCK ck....in the bedroom there is a board that extends across the head of the bed(about 2 ft out from the wall). RV in Colo. right now or I would send photos.I think it is for decoration as it does not look super strong. I continually hit my head on it when getting into bed?? I am thinking of removing it ...any thoughts...other than to lok before I get in bed<grin>>

There are a couple JOF threads on the same subject, and some have removed the 'head-knocker' shelf.

I helped my BIL remove the 'head-knocker' shelf in their 2021 25RB TT, which required removing many staples and screws.

There are some hidden screws going into that shelf from the inside the wardrobe to be aware of. We took it out of our 25RB

After banging my head the second time, with some choice verbiage, I would then always remember it’s there!
